Scalp Micropigmentation

Is SMP Painful?

SMP is not nearly as painful as a traditional tattoo or hair transplant. Most say in a range from 1-10 SMP is around 3. Clients almost never need topical anesthetic.   

How many sessions are needed?

SMP clients should expect to need 2-4 sessions for a final result. These sessions should be done 10 - 14 days apart. 

How long does SMP take?

Typically SMP sessions last anywhere from 2-4 depending of the severity of hair loss and breaks needed within the session.

How long does SMP take?

After your first 2-4 sessions SMP will last approximately 4-6 years before needing a touchup due to some slight fading. 

Is SMP suitable for long hair?

SMP is a wonderful way to add density to long hair, however depending on the hairline and the amount of hair-loss its best to consult with your artist. 

Can SMP conceal scars?

YES! Many people seek SMP treatments for concealing scars including hair transplant surgery scars.

Is ISR painful?

ISR is not as painful as a traditional tattoo. Most say it feels like scratching, however some areas are more sensitive than others. Topical anesthetic is available for those who have low tolerances.   

How does ISR work?

ISR is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment to improve the appearance of scars and stretchmarks by using a rotary tattoo machine to create micro-abrasions in the dermis layer of the skin. Rather than using ink, a custom blend of serums and peptides is deposited into the skin triggering a natural healing response. This allows the skin to produce new collagen and elastin resulting in smoother, firmer skin.  

How is the healing process?

After your ISR procedure the treated area will be a little red and swollen for a few days and will fade over the next 4–8 weeks. The area might get a little dry as the new skin starts to grow.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions for an ISR treatment varies from person to person depending of the severity and depth of the stretchmark or scar and how the skin responds in the healing process. Sessions can range anywhere from 1-8. 

How do I prepare for ISR?

Before your ISR treatment, its important to come in to your appointment with clean skin, no self tanner or lotions. 36-24 hours before your appointment don't drink alcohol, caffeine, take aspirin or ibuprofen as they could cause bleeding. 

Under what circumstances is ISR not appropriate?

ISR is not appropriate for pregnant women, people that suffer with skin conditions, infections, or skin cancer. 


Lip Blush

Is Lip Blush Painful?

Lip Blush is not very painful. Most say they experience some pressure or a light scratching sensation however topical anesthetic is used before and during the procedure to maximize comfort. 

How is the healing process?

After your first session your lips will look bright with some swelling. The swelling almost always goes down within the first 24 hours. The next 3-7 days your lips will feel dry and as if they are chapped. Don't let them get wet! Its important to continue applying the ointment provided to you by your practitioner as the top layer of skin flakes off. True healed results will show 4-6 weeks after your first session. 

How many sessions does it require?

Lip Blush requires one initial session and a touch up at 6 weeks for a full result. After your touch up another one wont be necessary for approximately 2 years to reinforce color and definition. 

Is Lip Blush possible for dark lips?

Yes! Lip Blush may be done on dark lips! This process is called neutralization. It may need more sessions depending on how much melanin is in the skin that needs to be neutralized. 

How do I prepare for my Lip Blush appointment?

Before your Lip Blush treatment, its important to come in to your appointment with clean lips, hydrated and exfoliated lips. 36-24 hours before your appointment don't drink alcohol, caffeine, take aspirin or ibuprofen as they could cause bleeding. The better the canvas the better the tattoo!


Microblading & Shading

Is Microblading & Shading Painful?

Microblading is not very painful. Most say they experience some pressure or a light scratching sensation however topical anesthetic is used before and during the procedure to maximize comfort. 

How is the healing process?

After your first session your brows will be dark and within the following 2 weeks they will become dry and start to peel. It is very important to never pick or pull at your tattoo, that my interfere with the healed result. Don't let your brows get wet! Its important to continue applying the ointment provided to you by your practitioner as the top layer of skin flakes off. True healed results will show 4-6 weeks after your first session.

How many sessions does it require?

Microblading and Shading requires one initial session and a touch up at 6 weeks for a full result. After your touch up another one wont be necessary for approximately 2 years to reinforce color and shape. 

How do I prepare for my Microblading & Shading appointment?

Before your Lip Blush treatment, its important to come in to your appointment with a clean face and hydrated. 36-24 hours before your appointment don't drink alcohol, caffeine, take aspirin or ibuprofen as they could cause bleeding. The better the canvas the better the tattoo!
